Trace the ear template twice onto the foam with the Sharpie, and use sewing shears to cut out the ear pieces.

Remove the adhesive backing from the sheet of craft foam, and adhere the foam to the back side of the fabric, using your fingers to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles underneath the surface of the fabric. Use sewing shears to trim away the excess fabric around the back of the hoop. Stretch the fabric inside the embroidery hoop, pulling the fabric taut. The templates provided are sized for a 6-inch embroidery hoop, but you can scale the templates larger or smaller with a printer to create a wreath with a different size.
